Hello, and welcome back to our monthly reading roundup! June was unequivocally—and for reasons I can’t quite figure out—the month of Annie Ernaux. I almost read a fifth book of hers, but ended up returning it to the library when I had other books come in.
It was also a month of many books finished! It may be my lack of employment or the long days, but summer seems to be the season when I turn to books more often (strange—you think winter would be more the time for curling up with a book).
While I thoroughly enjoyed everything here, the star of the show was Shady Hollow by Juneau Black. You’ll find my thoughts on this book, and the others that I read, below.
